About 

Angela Kerrison started her career in Cape Town, South Africa. She studied opera at the University of Cape Town’s College of Music and went on to be soloist for Cape Town Opera. Before moving to Zürich, Switzerland Angela toured with the Opera Africa Company, South Africa and sang at Amsterdam’s Hek Musiektheater in Princess Magogo and at the Rivonia Festival Chicago, USA in Mzilikazi Khumalo’s uShaka ka Senzagakhona.

Being part of the International Opera Studio of Zürich Opera she performed Polly The Beggar’s Opera, Didone La Didone, La Contessa Rigoletto; as well as singing in dozens of concerts. After the Zürich Studio Angela became a member of the Ensemble at the Heidelberg State Theater, Germany. Her superlative portrayal of Servilia in Vivaldi’s Tito Manlio won her a nomination for the Faust Theater prize in 2009.

2008 Angela was part of the Salzburg Young Singers Program at the Salzburg Festival, returning the following year as a cover for Handel’s Theodora.
With a magnetic stage presence Angela has performed to critical acclaim in roles such as; Nannetta Falstaff, Servilia Tito Manlio & La clemenza di Tito, Pamina Die Zauberflöte.
Angela’s concert repertoire ranges from German Lied, French Chanson, Church music to contemporary music and musicals.
